OHA Graduation Service Restrictions – Issued July 1, 2020

We live in unprecedented times and COVID-19 is an increasing threat and has changed everything.  Because of the necessary guidelines and restrictions that are endeavoring to follow, the graduation services for Ouachita Hills Academy will be a “By Invitation Only” event.  It is necessary that the invited group is a small, limited number.  This means that no other guests will be permitted to attend or be present on campus.  Neither should guests/visitors plan to be in the area or visit over the weekend.  Food service will only be available to guests with their “invitee pass.”  If guests show up who are not invited they will kindly be asked to leave the area.

We are very sorry that we have to impose these restrictions.  We always love to have everyone come who would like to.  Graduations are wonderful reunions and we hate not to be able to accommodate everyone.  It breaks our hearts and greatly disappoints all.  But unfortunately circumstances do not allow us to do otherwise and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Live Stream: However, we do plan to live stream the event on our Ouachita Hills Media YouTube channel so that everyone will be able to watch who would like to.  Services will be streamed at the following times:

Guidelines for Invitees: For those who are officially invited to attend, the following will be required:

Admittance: In order to be admitted each invitee will need to present their “invitee pass” which has their name on it and their name must be on the official list of invitees.

No Substitutes: If an invited person is not able to attend, their invitation cannot be given to another.  No substitutions are permitted.  Only those on the list will be permitted to enter.

Symptoms: None should attend if they have any of the following symptoms: Fever of 100.4 or higher, dry-cough, or shortness of breath.

Temperature Check: Before entering, all temperatures will be taken and no one with a temperature of 100.4 or higher will be permitted to enter.

Face Covering: Face coverings will be required at all times when inside buildings.  Invitees should provide their own face-masks and should plan to have a minimum of 3 available for each person.  Children under the age of 10 do not have to wear masks.  Special medical exceptions may also be approved on an individual basis with specific guidelines.

Social Distancing: All guests must remain in their family units and maintain a minimum of 6 feet from all other guests outside of their family unit.  Family units must sit together and stay 6 feet apart from other family units by sitting in every other row, etc.  Family units must sit only in their assigned seating at each meeting.

Group Gatherings: No gathering is permitted in the hallways or other rooms.  After meetings people must exit the building and not linger in the hallways or other rooms.  Once outside, social distancing should still be maintained.

Restrooms Use: Users must maintain 6’ social distancing.  This may require waiting before entering.

Hand Sanitizer: Will be available and encouraged.

We are very sorry for these but are thankful that we are permitted to have a limited celebration of the accomplishments of our seniors.  Hopefully all will be able to join on-line and soon this will all be behind us or we will be in Heaven without COVID-19 and any disease.  We pray that day may be soon.
